The Annual Day Celebration of Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad was held on 2nd January 2026 at 4.30 p.m. in the school premises with great enthusiasm. The programme began with a prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

The function was presided over by Br. Vedavedyamrita Chaitanya, In-charge, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Kasaragod. Sri Dinjith Ayyathan, renowned Malayalam film director, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, and the felicitation address was delivered by Sri Divakaran Vishnumangalam, noted Malayalam poet and actor.

The classes 5 A and 5 B observed National Youth Day during the 4th period in Mata Amriteshwari Hall , a significant day dedicated to honor the ideas of Swami Vivekananda. 

The celebration aimed to inspire the students to follow his principles and service to the nation. A short speech was delivered by a student of class 5 B ,to make them recognise the purpose and history behind the celebration.The pledge was taken by the students. And also a interactive quiz session was conducted for the students.

The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of Amrita Vidyalayam, Trichy has received a special invitation to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade in New Delhi on January 26, 2026. The school has been recognised as one of the Top Performing ATL Labs in India. 

This achievement reflects the school’s focus on promoting scientific thinking, creativity, and hands-on learning among students. The recognition highlights the consistent efforts of the school in encouraging innovation through its ATL initiatives.

As part of the Shell NXplorers Program, implemented in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, a Virtual Expert Talk was conducted under the Energy Clubs initiative on 20 January 2025 via Microsoft Teams. The session, titled “Mission: Carbon Possible,” aimed to sensitize students to sustainability, carbon reduction, and responsible innovation.

Popcorn Day is a fun celebration that highlights the joy of popcorn, a favorite snack enjoyed by people of all ages. It brings smiles through sharing, togetherness, and simple moments of happiness. Popcorn Day and Yellow Day were celebrated at our school on January 19, 2026, with great enthusiasm and active participation from both students and teachers. The campus was filled with a bright and cheerful atmosphere as everyone dressed in yellow attire. As part of the celebration, teachers prepared popcorn and explained its benefits and nutritional value to the students.
