Amrita Vidyalayam in Mangaluru hosted an insightful Oral Hygiene Awareness Program and Dental Check-up in collaboration with Nayak’s Dental Speciality Clinic & Orthodontic Centr on July 11, 2025 . The event took place in the Amritheshwari Hall and aimed to educate students on the importance of maintaining oral health. 

The program commenced with a prayer song performed by Grade 5 students, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and well-being. Dental professionals from Nayak’s Dental Speciality Clinic Dr Arjun, Dr Mohini, Dr Ashila and Dr Ektha delivered an engaging presentation using a well-crafted PowerPoint, covering essential topics such as proper brushing techniques, causes of cavities, and the significance of regular dental care. 

Following the informative session, a comprehensive dental check-up was conducted for all students in batches. This hands-on approach ensured that each student received personalized attention and guidance on their oral health status. As a token of love crayons were distributed to the students and also the certificate after dental checkup. 

The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Deepa Manoj, the school administrator, along with the entire teaching staff, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic student development. The collaborative effort between the school and Nayak’s Dental Speciality Clinic not only enhanced students’ awareness of oral hygiene but also emphasized the importance of preventive dental care.
