Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated National Science Day on February 28th by organizing a Science Exhibition 2024-25, commemorating the discovery of the Raman Effect by the esteemed physicist Sir C.V. On February 4th, Amrita Vidyalayam observed World Cancer Day to raise awareness about cancer, its prevention, early detection, and treatment. The event aimed to educate students about the impact of cancer and the importance of a healthy lifestyle in reducing risks. 

Chocolate Day was a delightful and joyous occasion for our tiny tots, as they indulged in the richness of delicious chocolate treats. Dressed in adorable choco-themed outfits, the kindergarteners embraced the spirit of the day with enthusiasm and excitement. 

The celebration was filled with fun games, laughter, and merry-making, creating a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere. Adding a touch of sweetness, the little ones expressed their love and appreciation for their teachers by gifting them chocolates, making the day even more special. 

Marathi   Bhasha Gaurav Din was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school, to honour the birth anniversary of the renowned Marathi poet V. V. Shirwadkar, also known as Kusumagraj. The event began with a special school assembly conducted entirely in Marathi, setting the perfect tone for the occasion. Healthy Bites Day was a delightful initiative aimed at promoting nutritious eating habits among students. The highlight of the event was the Healthy Snack Sharing Session, where students brought a variety of homemade healthy snacks, including fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, dry fruits, and different types of laddoos. This activity encouraged them to explore and enjoy wholesome foods while understanding the significance of a balanced diet.

Krithik B of class IV , a talented student from Amrita Vidyalayam Senior Secondary School, Kovur, earned the 2nd prize in Silambam at the prestigious National Youth Game Championship 2025 held at the Nehru Stadium in Goa under the NYSEF India banner. Krithik’s exceptional skills in the traditional martial art of Silambam were on full display as he skillfully demonstrated his techniques. His disciplined practice and determination enabled him to secure an impressive position among fierce competition. This achievement showcases his dedication and talent in the martial arts field.

V. Harish of class VI, a student from Amrita Vidyalayam Senior Secondary School, Kovur, achieved remarkable success in the State Level Karate Championship 2025 held at ISSHINRYU KARATE. He secured 1st prize in his category while showcasing his skills with the yellow belt. His winning technique, the front kick, demonstrated both precision and power, securing his place at the top. This accomplishment is a testament to his dedication, discipline, and skill in karate.
