On August 24, 2024, with utmost devotion and fervour, the students, teachers, and staff of Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Krishna Janmashtami. The assembly began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our esteemed Principal. The pre-primary students charmed everyone with their delightful dance performances and fashion walk. This was followed by a soulful bhajan by our Hindi faculty, Ms. Poonam, which deeply resonated with the audience. Students from Classes 3 to 5 rendered the devotional song “Achyutam Keshavam,” filling the atmosphere with reverence.

On Saturday, August 24th, Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated Janmashtami with a vibrant Jhanki-Making activity for students of Classes 1 to 10. The event saw enthusiastic participation, with students creating elaborate and artistic jhankis that beautifully depicted various scenes from the life of Lord Krishna. Each presentation was a testament to the creativity and devotion of the participants, capturing the essence of Janmashtami and deepening their connection to the festival’s cultural and spiritual significance.

On Wednesday, October 9th, Amrita Vidyalayam, Lucknow, celebrated Dussehra with great zeal and devotion. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Principal, followed by the school prayer. Aradhya Sharma of Class 8 eloquently explained the significance of each of the nine days of Navratri, setting the tone for the day’s performances.

Children’s Day at our school was a celebration of energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork. The day began with a cheerful assembly highlighting the significance of Children’s Day and encouraging the students to enjoy the event to the fullest.

The sports activities were the highlight of the celebration, with events designed to include all age groups and abilities. From fun games like frog jump, racket and ballon, hurdle lemon-and-spoon races for the class 1-5 students to relay card race, three leg race, slow cycle races for the class 6-10 students, the day was packed with excitement.

The much-awaited Inter-House Competitions at Amrita Vidyalayam was held on 27th and 28th December 2024, bringing together students from all grades to showcase their talents, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event, designed to foster camaraderie and a healthy spirit of competition, featured a wide array of activities.

On 29th June, 2022, with the blessings of Amma, our children participated in yoga competition organized by Navy School, Karwar. Pratigya Chandekar, Sanjeevini Chandekar, Nupur Dixit, Deepali Chandekar, Sarthak Salunke and Tanusha Malsekar participated in the competition. We won two 3rd prizes in the under 14 and under 16 categories. Many congratulations to the students, and the staff who trained and accompanied them…

We celebrated Bubble Day at Amrita Vidyalayam Karwar on August 1st. Children from Nursery had fun and enjoyed their time playing with bubbles which does wonders for their mental and physical health. While such an activity proves to be a simple form of fun, there are many beautiful aspects of bubble play that promote children’s development.

Tae Kwon Do is a Korean form of martial arts characterized by punching and kicking techniques. Amrita Vidyalayam Karwar started Taekwando coaching in association with Sun Taekwando Academy affiliated to the Karnataka Taekwondo Association, recognized by the Taekwondo Federation of India, Ministry of Sports, Govt. of Karnataka.
