Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kannur. A special awareness session was conducted for students by Mr. P.V. Pushparajan, retired district excise officer. The inauguration of the Mathrubhumi SEED programme was marked by students placing their fingerprints on a symbolic tree canopy.
The school principal, SEED coordinator, and teachers actively participated in the event. As part of the celebrations, SEED volunteers of the school paid tribute to the sacred banyan tree in the school premises. Tree saplings were also planted in the primary section courtyard.
