Pathanamthitta

The Quit India Movement, launched on August 8, 1942, was a mass protest demanding an end to British rule in India. Led by Mahatma Gandhi, it called for immediate independence through non-violent civil disobedience. Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, commemorated the Quit India Movement on August 8, 2025, with vibrant and educational activities celebrating India’s spirit of freedom and unity. To mark the occasion, a house-wise tableau competition was held, where students creatively portrayed pivotal moments and inspiring leaders of the movement initiated by Mahatma Gandhi. Additionally, informative charts were prepared, highlighting significant events and themes associated with the struggle. These activities not only deepened students’ understanding of the movement’s historical significance but also encouraged creative expression, patriotism, and appreciation for India’s cultural heritage. The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reinforced the values of courage, unity, and national pride.
