Our school celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and dedication. The event was designed to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students.

Inauguration:
The event was inaugurated by Dr. P. Santhoshkumar, Assistant Professor in Biology Department, Sreekrishna College, GVR. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Santhoshkumar emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the role of individuals in protecting the planet.

Activities Conducted:
1. *Medicinal Plant Exhibition (Classes 1 to +2):* Students from classes 1 to +2 participated in the medicinal plant exhibition, showcasing various plants and their uses. The exhibition highlighted the importance of medicinal plants in our daily lives.
2. *Skit (Classes 6 to 8):* Students from classes 6 to 8 performed a thought-provoking skit on environmental conservation, emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and responsible behavior towards nature.
3. *Bulletin Board Display (Senior Classes):* Senior class students created an informative bulletin board display, featuring facts, figures, and tips on environmental conservation, recycling, and sustainable living.
4. *Speech:* Gayathri from 9th standard delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of environmental conservation, highlighting individual responsibilities and collective actions.
5. *Planting Saplings:* Dr. P. Santhoshkumar distributed plant saplings to the students, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing the environment and promoting greenery. Students actively participated in planting the saplings.
