The first day of the nine-day-long festival is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Maa Shilaputri. The goddess has been described as the daughter of mountains. The name of the Goddess, Maa Shilaputri, is made of two Sanskrit terms: ‘Shil', which means rock and 'Putri', which means daughter. Our students performed Devi Pooja organised by the cultural committee, the activities bring them into direct contact with their culture.

Our school ensured a meaningful and brief celebration of Navaratri, keeping the festive spirit alive while maintaining academic focus. Notice board decoration and Video Presentation was the two main activities of the celebration. The notice board was dedicated to showcasing the nine forms of Goddess Durga, each depicted through vibrant images and artistic representation. Students contributed by designing and colouring these depictions, along with adding descriptions of each form's significance. Students performed pooja at their homes and recorded the moment. These videos were compiled into a celebratory video, capturing the essence of Navaratri while promoting devotion and family engagement during the festival. This approach was well-received by both students and parents, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic development.
