Amrita Vidyalayam celebrated the 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025 at the Mid Courtyard with pride and enthusiasm, honouring the day India’s Constitution came into effect on January 26, 1950. The programme was designed to instil a sense of national pride and deepen students’ understanding of the importance of this historic day.
The event began with insightful speeches that explained the significance of Republic Day in shaping India as a sovereign, democratic republic. The speakers highlighted the importance of the Constitution in upholding the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
A lively skit titled "What is Republic Day?" was performed by the students, creatively portraying the historical and constitutional significance of the day. The engaging performance captured the attention of the audience and effectively conveyed the message of patriotism and responsibility.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, a poster presentation showcased prominent freedom fighters and their invaluable contributions to the formation of the Indian Republic. The vibrant and informative displays were a testament to the students' creativity and dedication.
