Saraswati Puja, also known as Basant Panchami, is a significant Hindu festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the revered deity of wisdom, knowledge, and learning. This auspicious occasion holds special importance in educational institutions, where students seek the goddess's blessings for academic success and enlightenment. Amrita Vidyalayam, Bhubaneswar, celebrated this sacred day with great fervour and devotion.
The campus was beautifully adorned with vibrant yellow decorations, symbolizing prosperity, and the onset of spring. The puja venue radiated serenity, decorated with flowers, intricate rangolis, and images of Goddess Saraswati, creating a spiritually uplifting ambiance.
The ceremony began with the chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras, invoking the goddess's blessings. Faculty members, students, and staff gathered to offer prayers, seeking divine guidance for intellectual growth and academic excellence. The rituals were conducted with reverence and devotion, emphasizing the importance of knowledge in shaping one's life.
As a gesture of goodwill and communal harmony, prasad consisting of traditional sweets and fruits was distributed among the attendees, fostering a spirit of sharing and togetherness.
