Milk: not just a drink, but a journey from farm to family…

In celebration of World Milk Day, June 1, 2024, students embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to a local cow farm — a day filled with discovery, interaction, and appreciation for one of nature’s most nourishing gifts: milk!

Upon arrival, students were welcomed by the friendly farmers and taken on a guided tour of the farm. They learned about different breeds of cows, their daily routines, and how clean, healthy environments contribute to better milk production. The highlight of the day was watching the milking process — a fascinating hands-on experience for many of our curious young learners!

The visit also included interactive sessions on the nutritional value of milk, the importance of animal care, and the journey of milk from farm to home. Students even got to feed the cows and calves, an experience that sparked both excitement and empathy.

This field trip helped students connect with the source of their daily glass of milk, understand sustainable farming practices, and appreciate the hard work of dairy farmers. It was a wholesome and heartwarming day that blended fun, learning, and gratitude!
