Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam celebrated Guru Purnima by organizing a Padha Pooja ceremony to show gratitude to the parents. This special event held on three consecutive days from 19th July, 2024 to 22nd July, 2024 underscored the significant role that parents play as the first gurus in their children's lives.

Our revered Swamiji Ajamritananda Puri accepted our invitation and guided the students step by step to do the Padha Pooja for the parents. Padha Pooja is an ancient Indian tradition where the feet of elders, especially parents and teachers, are washed as a mark of respect and gratitude.

The ceremony commenced by doing Padhukabhishekam for our Sadguru Amma’s padam by Swamiji and Swamini Mukthaamrita Prana, the Manager of the school. Swamiji emphasized the importance of Matru Vandana, where parents are our first guru to get blessings on this auspicious occasion. The students performed the Padha Pooja for their parents in a beautifully decorated hall. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and reverence, as parents and children participated in this profound act of gratitude.

The Guru Purnima celebration at our school was a resounding success, filled with joy, gratitude, and a deep sense of respect for parents. This event fostered a sense of community and mutual appreciation among students and teachers.
