Amrita Vidyalayam in Pathanamthitta celebrated the International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025, with great enthusiasm and spirit, reaffirming its commitment to health, peace, and mindfulness throughout the year. The event was formally inaugurated by Shri N. Chandran, Joint Secretary of the District Olympic Association. The celebration saw the active participation of 831 students, 47 teachers, and 5 community members.
Students from Classes I to XII showcased various stages of yoga, emphasizing flexibility, balance, and inner harmony. A category-wise yoga competition was held for students in Classes V to XII, promoting healthy competition and excellence in practice. A seminar and workshop on the importance of yoga in daily life was organized for Senior Secondary students, offering insights into holistic well-being.
In addition to the yoga performances, various competitions, including quizzes, writing contests, and bulletin board displays, were held to enhance awareness and creativity related to yoga and its values. The celebration showcased the school’s commitment to fostering a healthy mind and body among students, emphasizing the true essence of yoga in daily life.
