Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed in India every year on July 26th to commemorate the victory of the Indian Armed Forces over Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil War. It honors the bravery, valor, and sacrifice of the Indian soldiers who fought in the challenging terrain of the Kargil region in Jammu and Kashmir. Amrita Vidyalayam, Pathanamthitta, solemnly observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 26th to pay tribute to the indomitable courage and sacrifices of our armed forces. Despite a collector-declared holiday due to heavy rains, our students demonstrated their patriotic spirit by creatively preparing videos that highlighted the significance of the Kargil War. This initiative not only deepened their understanding of this historic event but also instilled a strong sense of national pride and gratitude. The observance served as a reminder of the valor of our soldiers and inspired students to uphold the values of unity, bravery, and dedication to the nation.
