Amrita Vidyalayam, Kolkata, is a secondary school located at Sarkarpool, Budge Budge Trunk Road in Kolkata. This Amrita Vidyalayam is managed by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, and is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.

Suthirtha Mondal, from Class XI B at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kolkata, has secured the Second Position at the National Level in the National Meteorological Olympiad, held on 13th January 2025 at Mausam Bhawan, India Meteorological Department (IMD) HQ, New Delhi.
The event, organized as part of IMD's 150th-anniversary celebrations, provided Suthirtha with an invaluable opportunity to interact with dignitaries. He had the honor of meeting the Honorable Prime Minister of India, a cherished moment that added to his remarkable journey. He also interacted with Prof. Celeste Saulo, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and Dr. Mrityunjay Mohapatra, Director-General of Meteorology, IMD.
The Olympiad not only recognized Suthirtha's academic excellence but also provided him with a platform to learn from IMD's esteemed scientists about climate change, weather forecasting, and disaster management.
We are immensely proud of Suthirtha and his outstanding accomplishment. This success underscores the excellence of education and values nurtured at Amrita Vidyalayam under the divine guidance of Amma, our beloved Mata Amritanandamayi Devi.
