The birth of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami, was celebrated with great joy and devotion in our school, transforming the campus into a vibrant scene of colors, culture, and spirituality.
The festivities began with a special assembly where students shared the story of Lord Krishnaβs birth and his teachings through skits, narrations, and bhajans. Dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas, our young learners brought the divine characters to life with charm and innocence.
A highlight of the event was the Dahi Handi activity, filled with excitement and cheers, capturing the playful spirit of Lord Krishna. Traditional dances, soulful music performances etc added to the festive atmosphere.
Go Puja, the sacred ritual of worshipping the cow β revered in Indian culture as Gau Mata β was celebrated in our school as part of Janmashtami with deep respect, devotion, and joy.
Students and teachers gathered in the spirit of gratitude to honor the cow, symbolizing gentleness, nurturing, and selfless service. The event began with a traditional aarti and the ceremonial bathing and decoration of the cow with flowers, turmeric, and sandalwood paste. Students offered garlands, diyas, and sweet treats to the cow as part of the puja.
The celebration not only deepened the students' understanding of Indian traditions but also instilled in them a sense of compassion, reverence for animals, and the importance of coexisting with nature.
Go Puja was a peaceful and soul-enriching event that beautifully blended tradition with awareness.
