Amrita Vidyalayam, Pune, is a higher secondary school situated behind Nigdi bus stop in Yamuna Nagar, Pune. This Amrita Vidyalayam is administered by Mata Amritanandamayi Math, and is affiliated to the STATE BOARD.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, a special event was organized at the school with the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress." The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal and Vice Principal. Mrs. Shweta Dixit delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the remarkable achievements of women in social, political, and cultural fields. She introduced students to various role models who have significantly impacted society. Following this, Mrs. Janhavi Bhide presented a segment on women personalities who have received prestigious awards like the Padma Shri and Rashtrapati Puraskar, emphasizing their courage and determination.
As a tribute to these iconic women, 16 girls from Std V, VI, and VII actively participated in a role-play activity, embodying famous personalities such as Pratibha Patil, Draupadi Murmu, Tulsi Gowda, Jijau, Savitribai Phule, Sudha Murthy, Sunita Williams, and many more. The students confidently portrayed these figures, showcasing their contributions to society. The program honoured the resilience of women who have broken barriers and paved the way for future generations. The event concluded with the felicitation of the Principal and Vice Principal by the participating students, making it a memorable and meaningful celebration of womanhood.
