Pest Day was observed with enthusiasm and curiosity as students explored the fascinating world of insects, bugs, and the importance of pest control in maintaining a healthy environment. The day was designed to raise awareness about common pests, their impact on health and agriculture, and eco-friendly ways to manage them. This year we have organized a field visit to a nearby plantain farm and interacted with Sri. Manoj, a renowned award-winning farmer that helped students understand the difference between harmful pests and helpful insects.
Teachers guided discussions about safe practices and the importance of protecting crops, homes, and our surroundings from pests — without harming the environment. Students learned that knowledge is the best defense against pests, and awareness is the first step toward action.
Pest Day turned out to be a perfect blend of science, creativity, and environmental education — empowering students to be young eco-warriors!
