Gita Jayanti, the sacred day marking the birth of the Bhagavad Gita, was celebrated in our school with devotion, reflection, and spiritual enthusiasm. The event aimed to introduce students to the timeless wisdom of the Gita and inspire values like righteousness, courage, and inner peace.

The celebrations began with the chanting of shlokas by students, filling the atmosphere with a serene and spiritual vibe. Teachers and students together reflected on key teachings from the Gita, emphasizing the importance of karma (action), dharma (duty), and maintaining balance in life.

Amrita Vidyalayam Manjeri observed Umbrella Day with a beautiful demonstration of unity and diversity. The students, representing different backgrounds, came together and shared a single umbrella during the rain. 

This simple yet powerful act symbolized universal brotherhood and religious harmony, emphasizing the importance of togetherness and compassion. It was a heartwarming reminder of how unity can overcome challenges and bring people together.

The 15th of August was celebrated in our school with great pride, enthusiasm, and patriotic fervor, as students and staff came together to honor India’s 78th Independence Day.

The celebration began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by our Chief Guest Retired Subedar Major A S Venugopalan Pillai Sir, followed by the national anthem, which echoed through the school grounds, filling every heart with emotion and pride. Students participated in a vibrant march-past, showcasing discipline and unity.

Amrita Vidyalayam Manjeri organized a Mock Parliament in observance of Constitution Day. Students from grades 8 and 9 role-played as parliamentarians and discussed various state-related issues, gaining valuable insights into parliamentary procedures and the democratic system. This activity enhanced their critical thinking, public speaking skills, and teamwork, helping them appreciate the democratic process.

National Handloom Day, 07.08.2024…Celebrating the threads that tell the story of India’s rich heritage… A salute to the hands that weave the soul of our culture…

On National Handloom Day,  our students visited a weaving unit at Thukalassery, to learn about and appreciate traditional textile weaving techniques.

As part of our experiential learning program, our students had the enriching opportunity to visit a local weaving unit — a field trip designed to connect classroom knowledge with real-world craftsmanship.

The festive spirit was high at Amrita Vidyalayam Manjeri as Christmas was celebrated in a heartwarming manner. The little stars from Pre-KG, LKG, UKG, and 1st standard stole the show dressed as angels and Santa Clauses. The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and Christmas carols. Students enjoyed delicious cakes and shared moments of happiness, making it a memorable occasion.

India celebrates Independence Day on August 15 every year. On this day, we honour the sacrifice of our freedom fighters. Organizing a flag hoisting activity in schools, spreads the respect for the nation among students. National Anthem and Patriotic song was held after the flag hoisting. In connection with Independence day celebrations following programmes were conducted in school premises, house wise fancy dress competition, house wise patriotic competition, and preparation of notice board with national events and patriotic song & dance.

On July 19th 2024, we observed Gurupoornima in our school. Our Principal Ma'am Bri Samagitamrita Chaithanya led the 'Gurupathuka' from Amma's room to the assembly hall . We were honoured to have Sampoojya Swami Amrita Geethananda Puriji as our guest, who also graced the occasion with a Satsang. Swami Ji explained the significance of Guru Poornima and Guru Pathuka Pooja. Principal Ma'am conducted the Gurupathuka pooja, with students chanting the Ashtothram and the bhajn. The school head boy and head girl assisted in the pooja, which began with meditation.
