On 21.09.2024, As part of our school's environmental initiative, the students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Nagai organized an awareness program on plastics. The objective of the program was to educate the public about the harmful effects of plastics on the environment and promote sustainable practices.

Ozane Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at Amrita Vidyalayam, Nagapatinam on 16.09.2024. 

We hosted a vibrant General Exhibition for classes 1 to 12. Students showcased innovative projects across Amma’s world, Art & Craft, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Culture & heritage, Computer Science, Languages (Tamil, English, Hindi, and Sanskrit), Physical Education and Yoga. The event featured interactive models, creative artwork, and live demonstrations, reflecting their talent and creativity. Parents and guests appreciated the effort and enthusiasm, making the exhibition an
inspiring and educational experience for all.

Fruits and Vegetables Day Celebration for Kindergarten students was held with great enthusiasm and joy. Activities included a colourful parade, fruits and vegetables salad preparation, sorting games and fruit tasting. The event emphasized healthy eating through fun crafts and storytelling. The event aimed to educate young minds about the importance of eating fresh fruits and vegetables for a healthy lifestyle, making the day both educational and memorable.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam celebrated Guru Purnima by organizing a Padha Pooja ceremony to show gratitude to the parents. This special event held on three consecutive days from 19th July, 2024 to 22nd July, 2024 underscored the significant role that parents play as the first gurus in their children's lives. 

Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam proudly hosted its Sthanarohana Utsav (Investiture Ceremony) on 28th June 2024 to formally appoint and honour the new student council members. The memorable day was dawned to bestow responsibilities on the well deserving young Amritians to govern the school students’ council with their perseverance, discipline and competence. The ceremony was held with intense earnestness and symbolized the reliance and resilience that the institution entrusts in the newly formed senate of the School.

A workshop series was organized by Amrita Vidyalayam Head Office to enhance the English communication skills of our teachers. Separate sessions were arranged for teachers from North, Central and South Zone Amrita Vidyalayam schools. The workshops were held online in the month of April 2021 by Ms. Amrita Pushpa, who has more than 20 years of experience teaching and training in the US.

An online workshop on Value Based Teaching was held on 29th October 2022. The class was conducted by Mrs. Subhadra, who is a faculty and trainer in Education in Human Values for all Sathya Sai schools, as well as the State Science Coordinator for Sai Vidya Vahini Projects.

The World Environment Day 2024 celebration was marked by an inspiring and informative event. The function was inaugurated by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. P.S. Easa, Chairman of the Aranyakam Nature Foundation and Former Director of the Kerala Forest Research Institute. Dr. Easa shared extensive insights and experiences on ecosystems and biodiversity, emphasizing the intricate interdependencies within natural habitats and the crucial role each species plays in maintaining ecological balance. He also distributed saplings to our students.

World Food Day was observed globally on October 16th, emphasizing the theme, ‘Right to Food for a Better Life.’ Our school commemorated this significant day with an engaging activity to raise awareness about healthy and nutritious food.

The 6th standard students enthusiastically participated, bringing traditional, healthy, and nutritious dishes. Under the guidance of Mrs. Remya Sandeep from the Science Department, the students displayed their culinary creations in the biology lab.
