Amrita Vidyalayam Vatakara observed World Environment Day on 5th June 2024, focusing on the importance of nature conservation and sustainable development. The day was dedicated to raising awareness among students about the pressing need to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.

On July 1, 2024, the school observed Doctor's Day to honour Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. The event commenced with an inauguration by Dr. Anjitha Krishnan G, who holds expertise in Ayurveda (BAMS), Yoga (YIC), and Vedic nutrition. Dr. Anjitha interacted with students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The program continued with a speech about Doctor's Day delivered by Devanarayani from Grade 1, followed by a role play featuring Niranjan as a doctor and Rithunanda as a nurse.

National Handloom Day is a celebration of India's rich and diverse handloom heritage. It highlights the importance of traditional weaving techniques and supports the skilled artisans who keep these practices alive. 

The school's Investiture ceremony was a momentous and dignified occasion. We were deeply honored by the presence of Sri Nazim, Sub-Inspector of Police, who graciously inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the traditional lamp. Our students were formally invested with their leadership roles, and the Head Boy, Head Girl, and House Captains took a solemn oath to strive for excellence and bring pride to our school. The guest of honor, Sri Nazim, lavished praise on Amrita institutions, making it a truly unforgettable and overwhelming experience.

The benefits of reading are countless. Commemorating the sacrifices and contributions of P.N Panicker from June 19th to June 25th we observed reading week.During the week various programs, speeches in different languages, reading sessions, Quiz etc were conducted to improve the reading habit among children.

We observed Utkal Dibas in our school on 1st of April 2025, The function was inaugurated with chanting of the national song of odisha, followed by lightening of lamps. The chief guest of the function was Dr Gopal Krushna Dash, Educationist emphasised the need of odia education in the contemporary times. He also stressed the importance of discipline for the success of all the children. The function was attended by the students, staff and teachers of the school

Yoga is a notable contribution of India to the world. The union of body, mind and spirit is its ideal. The whole globe has realized the importance of yoga and June 21st every year is observed as the International Yoga Day. On the same day the Amrita family had the observation in a grand way. A display of various Asanas, Pranayama, Suryanamaskara and meditation was performed by students from LKG to X standard.

The Amrita Family observed the Olympic Day on June 23 2024. Speech related to the subject was conducted by the high school students.

One of the greatest threats for the holistic growth of the youth is drugs.  On 26.June.2024 Amrita Vidyalayam,vatakara observed the Anti-Drug Day with a variety of activities.

Students drew a map of Kerala and presented a speech about it.
