Amrita Vidyalayam Ottapalam celebrated World Blood Donor Day on Friday, June 14th. The school hosted informative sessions to highlight the significance of blood donation, with enthusiastic participation from the students. Athmaja, a grade 3 student, recited a beautiful Malayalam poem on blood donation, while Lakshmi, also from grade 3, narrated a moral story emphasizing its importance. Lakshmi Raghunath of grade 8 delivered a powerful speech on the day’s significance.

On August 15, 2024, Amrita Vidyalayam Ottapalam celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The festivities began with a flag-hoisting ceremony conducted by the chief guest, Jayaraman Sir, accompanied by a band playing the national anthem.

The school celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm. Students, dressed in traditional attire took part in cultural activities such as pookkalam-making, thiruvathira dances, and singing Onam songs. The nine forms of Durga represent strength, growth and destruction of evil, happiness, peace, vigour, health, propriety and wisdom.
