The General Exhibition held on 30/11/2024, Saturday was a grand success. Almost all students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and talent. Subject-wise exhibitions were organized alongside a general exhibition for Classes 1 and 2, providing a comprehensive display of the students work across various disciplines.

World Environment Day was celebrated at our school with great enthusiasm. Students of classes 3, 4 and 5 brought saplings and planted them in the school campus. Students of UKG to Class 2 came dressed in green colour clothes. Federal Bank manager Mr. Ranjith and Assistant manager Mr. Maneesh joined in planting saplings as part of their campaign, “Plant a sapling, save the Earth“. Br. Sumedhamrita Chaithanyaji made the celebration exceptional by planting a sapling.

June 6th is observed as World Pest Day. A field trip was organised by the school to Jai Jawan Jai Kisan farm, owned by a farmer named Eanthatt Kunhikelappan Nair who is 85 years old. Students of Std. VII were taken for a visit to the farm. The class leaders honoured the farmer with a stole. The students asked various questions to the farmer about the use of pesticides, harvesting, watering, etc. The farmer answered all their questions happily and patiently, explaining everything.

Food safety Day is observed on 7th June. Amrita Vidyalayam Koyilandy celebrated the day in a most befitting manner. Children prepared various charts showing the importance of consuming safe, healthy food, and displayed them on the board.  A speech was delivered by the science teacher, on the importance of having healthy food. Children of Class 8 presented a role play which conveyed the harmful effects of junk food and highlighted the importance of safe healthy food.

Our school celebrated World Ocean Day on June 8th. It was a day to raise awareness about the importance of oceans, and mobilize global action for their preservation. Children of UKG and classes I and II came to school dressed in blue.

June 12th 2024 was the reopening day of our LKG. The children were welcomed with aarti by the teachers. The programme commenced with archana by Br. Sumedhamrita Chaintanyaji. Principal Mrs Neena Suresh welcomed everyone and addressed the parents. Children of UKG presented a small programme, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Vice-principal Mrs Aruna. After this, Vidyarambham was performed by the teachers by writing Harisree, and prasadam was distributed by Swamiji. All the parents as well as the children were very excited and happy. Later, the parents were served tea and biscuits.

The investiture ceremony for the academic year 2024-25 was held on June 19th at Amriteswari hall. It is a very significant day in the school calendar. The prestigious event was marked by solemnity and pride. The programme started by invoking AMMA’S blessings. The newly elected student council members received their sashes and badges from the chief guest Dr Akhil S Kumar. Dr Akhil was honoured and welcomed with a sash. Mrs Sheethal welcomed everyone.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated at Amrita Vidyalayam, Koyilandy on August 22nd with great devotion and joy. The students, staff and parents came together to commemorate the occasion with a series of activities. The tiny tots of our school dressed up as Little Krishna and Radha made the school a mini Brindavan. The school notice boards were adorned by beautiful pictures of Lord Krishna. The celebration was a memorable one and a grand success filled with joy, laughter and spiritual favor.

Children’s Day is celebrated in India on November 14th every year to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Amrita Vidyalayam, Koyilandy, celebrated the day with a series of engaging events.

The Annual Sports Meet commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a house-wise march past, where the Vice Principal proudly received the salute. The events kicked off with the 100m race for boys under 17 and concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the athletes’ achievements.
