Red Colour Day Celebrations 2024
Our school celebrated Red Colour Day with immense enthusiasm and excitement, making the event a grand success and a truly memorable experience for everyone. Students of KG, Grade 1, and Grade 2 took part in the celebration held on 19th December 2024. They were in a festive mood and fun-filled cultural activities added beauty to the celebration.
Gurupoornima Celebrations
Amrita Vidyalayam Vatakara conducted Mathrupooja on 14th July as a part of Gurupoornima Celebrations. Sampoojya Swami Amritakripanandapuri blessed the occasion. Paduka Puja was performed as a part of the event. Br.Sankara Narayanan was present during the occasion.
Children’s day
Amrita Vidyalayam Vatakara celebrated Children’s day on 14th November 2011 . Sri Raveendran, Principal, Adarsh Bhavans Vidyalayam Vatakara inaugurated the function. As a part of the programme we conducted cultural competitions for the children. The variety of programmes made the function a remarkable one. Let us see the wonderful performance by our darling kids.
World Water Day
The students of Amrita Vidyalayam, Vatakara joined hands together to commemorate the International Year Of Water Cooperation 2013 or the world water day by raising awareness among the students through animated movies focusing on water conservation. Students made a ‘Drop’ shaped formation to emphasize the need of the hour- “SAVE THE DROP”.
Emulating our Chancellor’s love for nature and heeding Her advice they took an oath to adopt three simple and practical ideas in their day to day lives, namely:

Karate Belt Award Ceremony
From the colors of the Karate belt, one can easily judge the rank and the level of expertise of the person performing Karate.
Winners of Vatakara Sahodaya Kalotsav 2022-2023
We bagged several prizes at the Vadakara CBSE Sahodaya Kalotsav 2022. Nearly 60 schools participated in the kalotsav, and competition was very tough. We also got many ‘A’ grades in various events.
KG Fruits and Vegetables Day
On 26th November 2024, the KG Fruits and Vegetables Day was celebrated with enthusiasm. Students participated in various programs such as ramp walks, dances, skits, rhymes, and presentations on the importance of fruits and vegetables.
The highlight was the Amrita Market, where students creatively displayed their knowledge. The event saw active participation from students and was well-appreciated by parents who witnessed their children’s performances. Annual General Exhibition 2024
The Annual General Exhibition was held on 30th November 2024, featuring nearly 275 exhibits across various subjects, including English, Tamil, Mathematics, Science, Cultural Heritage, Amma's World, Greatness of Bharat, Yoga, Art & Craft, Physical Education, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Technological Times.
Training of Trainers Program
Our teachers took a significant step forward in their professional growth by participating in the Training of Trainers (ToT) program conducted by CBSE. Many teachers enthusiastically showcased their skills and are now on the path to becoming CBSE Resource Persons.
Inauguration of Tuition Centre
On 5th December 2024, a new tuition centre was inaugurated in Valuthoor by Bri. Laxmi Amma, aiming to provide education to the underprivileged. This initiative is supported by the Ashram, which already operates tuition centre in RS Madai, JJ Nagar, and MK Nagar in Rameshwaram.
