Morning Assembly Spark
On December 18, 2024, the spotlight shone brightly on our Grade 3 stars as they captivated us with their skit, “Save Water, Save Life!” Their infectious energy and creativity transformed a vital message into an engaging and action-packed performance that had everyone clapping, laughing, and reflecting.
With a perfect blend of humour and heartfelt moments, they reminded us that saving water isn’t just essential – it can be fun! From fixing leaks to making mindful choices, they highlighted how small actions can create a ripple effect for a better future.
Interactive sessions at Workshop
Amrita Vidyalayam, Bengaluru, had the honour of hosting Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean of Amrita Engineering College, Amrita University, Amritapuri for a series of impactful sessions. Addressing students and faculty, Dr. Shankar shared deep insights into Amma’s teachings, the excellence of Amrita institutions, and the compassion-driven initiatives that are transforming lives.
Anti-Drug Campaign 2024
The global campaign aims to raise awareness about the significant threat posed by illicit drugs to society, especially to the youth. Its goal is to mobilize support and encourage action against drug use. For our campaign event, Mr. Manoj C.R., Retired Sub-Inspector of Police, graced us as the chief guest. Students from higher classes performed dances, and a speech competition was also held. Following these activities, our chief guest addressed and interacted with the students.
Teacher Training Workshop 2024
On June 27th, we organized a Teacher Training program led by our Principal, Mr. Saijan Kumar. The session focused on 21st Century Skills, comparing current and past skill sets, and exploring their practical application through tests and activities.
Investiture Ceremony 2024
Leadership is not just a title but a demonstration through action and example. To foster leadership skills among our students, we celebrated Investiture Day on June 28th. Our young leaders took the stage adorned with badges and sashes. The School Leader administered oaths to the House Captains and Class Representatives. Our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Manoj C.R., Retired Sub-Inspector of Police, extended his wishes to the students.
Anti-rabies Campaign
Under the supervision of Primary Health Centre Pulpally, our school became a platform for the anti-rabies campaign. Students of classes VII and VIII attended the session. Sri Prince, Health Inspector, Pulpally was our chief guest. He interacted with the students and engaged in various activities.
Ramayana Month Celebration 2024
As part of the Ramayana Month celebration at Amrita Vidyalayam Kanhangad, our students from KG to 2nd grade brought the epic to life by dressing up as their favourite characters and reenacting their iconic roles. The children had a wonderful time and showcased their creativity and talent.
To encourage their efforts, merit certificates were awarded to the best performers, and participation certificates were given to all students.
Ramayana Quiz Competition 2024
A Ramayana Quiz was successfully conducted under the guidance of Br Vedavedyamrita Chaitanya. The event was organized into two sections: Category III in the morning and Category II in the afternoon. The house-wise competition fostered teamwork and healthy rivalry among the students.

Sreekrishna Jayanthi Celebrations 2024
We celebrated Sreekrishna Jayanthi at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, with great enthusiasm and devotion. Students from KG to 2nd grade participated in a series of vibrant and colourful programs, bringing the spirit of the festival to life.
The highlights of the celebration were:
A captivating Gopika dance performance by students of Grades 1 and 2.
KG students impressed everyone with three different Krishna Gopika dances, showcasing graceful movements.
The traditional “Uriyadi” festivities added excitement to the day, with students and staff actively participating.
Onam Celebrations 2024
Amrita Vidyalayam, Kanhangad, celebrated Onam with great enthusiasm. The festivities began with an inter-house pookkalam competition, where the Chinmayi house claimed victory, securing the first position.
