On the World Day against Child Labour, 12 June, the ITUC demands urgent action to end child labour in line with global commitments and goals. As a part of world day against child labour and illicit trafficking, house wise bulletin board competition was conducted by the social science club in our school. The North Zone Year Planning Session for the Middle Stage unfolded at Amrita Vidyalayam, Thalassery, under the inspiring leadership of Ms. Kavitha Sudheer, Academic Mentor for all Kerala Amrita Vidyalayam schools. A true guiding light, Ms. Kavitha steered the session with insight and clarity, setting the tone for a purposeful and impactful academic year ahead.

To make learning more exciting and practical, our school introduced an engaging Robotics and STEM experiential learning activity. In this hands-on program, students learned scientific concepts by building working models using DIY kits. They were first introduced to the basic fundamentals of robotics and were guided step-by-step to assemble different parts and create functional models. These models covered a wide range of topics from basic to advanced, blending science, technology, and engineering.

'Punarjani' an awareness programme by the Kerala Solid Waste Management Project (KSWMP) aimed at 'Reuse Waste To Rejuvenate Earth', was held on 11th June 2024. Ms. Sreevidya Balan (Social cum communication expert, KSWMP) gave a message on different methods of waste disposal. Ms. Vijitha V Kumar (Environmental Engineer, KSWMP) made children take an oath on safe methods of waste disposal. The programme concluded by planting saplings of trees in school premises.

The Indian Talent Olympiad had organized the Little Champ Olympiads in four exciting subjects – English, Maths, E.V.S., and Drawing – for our Nursery to U.K.G. students. Our tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their talents in every subject. Their hard work and dedication bore sweet fruit as they made our school proud by winning a total of 179 medals, including 155 Gold, 17 Silver, and 7 Bronze. It was a moment of great joy and pride for the entire school.

World Ocean Day is an international day that takes place annually on June 8. The purpose of the day is to inform the public and remind people of the important role the ocean plays in our lives.  We celebrated World Oceans Day on June 8th, a special programme about Oceans Day was conducted in the morning assembly. Our KG students, class I, II and teachers were dressed in blue clothes. Multiple activities were conducted on our school premises.

World Food Safety Day is celebrated annually to highlight the significance of safe food. The day was celebrated on June 7th. The students of class VIII presented a role play to spread awareness about food safety.

As the summer sun begins to mellow and anticipation of a new academic year builds, our principal and all teachers were thrilled to welcome back our students.

The reopening of school marked a time of renewed energy and the promise of new learning adventurers. The day started with bhajans and Amma's prayer followed by Ashtothram. All the students offered flowers to the lotus feet of Amma. Students of class XII welcomed the students with a dance.

In recognition of World Pest Day on June 6th, our science department hosted a special interview with local farmer Mr. Vijayan to learn about the importance of pest management in agriculture. The interview conducted by the students from classes VI and VII explores various topics, including:

1. The impact of pests on crops
2. Sustainable pest management practices.
3. Use of organic fertilisers and manures.

On 5th June 2024, we celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and foster a sense of responsibility among students.The celebration commenced with a skit titled "Eco Warriors" presented by the students of class X. The skit conveyed the necessity of conserving nature. Krishnapriya Vinod Pillai recited a beautiful poem related to nature.As a part of the day's activities, a tree planting ceremony was conducted.
